This artful rain gauge will capture and measure the rainfall in your garden. An attractive ornamental stake with hand painted metal songbird perched on the top. 5-3/4" glass tube measures rainfall in inches and centimeters. Stands 39" tall on a 4-1/2" double pronged metal stake. Minor assembly required.
The little painted songbird on top makes me smile every time I glance out at the garden, and it doesn't look cheap or plasticky at all. After a storm I just check how high the water sits in the glass tube to see how much we actually got.
The glass tube is way easier to read than the plastic one I had before, and it survived a windy storm without tipping. My morning garden walk now starts with checking how much rain fell overnight, which feels oddly satisfying.
The glass tube is a generous size, so I can actually read the rainfall from across the yard without squinting. The hand-painted bird adds a nice touch of color that stands out against the green garden, and it feels sturdy enough to stay put in a strong storm.
