The colors in this balloon scene are way more vivid than I expected from the listing photos, and the 500-piece count was perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Pieces snapped together cleanly with no fraying edges.
Assembling the 1000-piece version took me a few evenings, and the sky section is trickier than it looks since so many pieces are similar shades of blue. Still, the balloon details by Greg Giordano kept me going, and I only noticed one slightly bent piece in the whole box.
I went with the 1000-piece version and the balloon colors really pop once it's together. My only gripe is that the sky sections are mostly blue, so it took me longer than usual to sort the edge pieces. Still a relaxing way to spend a couple evenings.
