Set it by the back steps and it soaks up sun all day, then glows a soft green star for hours after dark. The polyresin feels solid, not cheap, and it's handled two winters outside without cracking.
The Celtic knot detail is way sharper in person than I expected, and the polyresin has a nice weight to it so it doesn't tip over when the dog barrels past. I left it in full sun all afternoon and the compass face glowed for hours after dark.
I was worried the polyresin would look cheap, but the Celtic compass detail is actually really crisp. Left it on the patio all afternoon and by dusk the star was glowing bright enough to see from the kitchen window.
