The colors in those rolling fields are so rich that I ended up leaving it out on the table for a week after finishing. Pieces fit snugly with no fraying edges, which matters when you're sorting a landscape this detailed. John Sloane's farm scene made for a genuinely calming few evenings.
I bought this for my mom who grew up on a farm, and she recognized that exact feeling of a farmer looking over his fields before work starts. The pieces have a nice matte finish so there's no glare when the evening lamp is on. We finished the whole thing in two sittings.
The farmer pausing to look over the fields is such a calm scene to piece together, and the colors in the rolling landscape came out richer than the box photo suggested. Pieces locked in cleanly with no fraying edges. Perfect quiet evening project.
